Where the Streets Have No Name (I Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You)

Here is yet another video from my earlier years. I would always be out on the dancefloor for this song with my friends Doug and Brandon. Before I came out, I was a huge U2 fan. Joshua Tree was one of my favorite cd's at the time. So after I had came out, I instantly fell in love with this remake of an awesome U2 song. Of course, I already loved the Pet Shop Boys anyways! :)

About 4 or 5 years ago, I had the pleasure of seeing the Pet Shop Boys in concert in Chicago. It was in an old theater that had the seats removed. The floor was open and slanted down to the stage. We started the concert about 20 feet back from the stage. But by then end of the night, we had worked our way up to maybe 5 feet back. The concert was awesome. The night was awesome. The Pet Shop Boys were awesome. It was just one of those nights that will live in memory forever as one of the best nights ever.

Thanks for this great blast from the past. The Pet Shop Boys also remind me of days gone by when I used to dance with my friends at El Goya, a great club in Tampa, now long gone.

I hope you don't mind but I'm going to steal a copy for my blog. It's too good to pass up. I'll be sure to give you the credit, though. Thanks!

Your playlist is great and you've given me the bug. I'm trying to create my own but I'm having technical difficulties. I'll need to figure it out when I'm not so tired. Thanks for awakening my memory of this great music.

The biggest problem I had using this particular music player was the lack of great 80's dance music. There were a few good songs, mainly from the same people/bands. But there is a ton of music I couldn't find listings for.

Good Luck, I am definitely looking forward to your list. I might have to snag a few off of there that I had forgotten about.

I've been trying to find some of my favorite dance club music from the 1980s but have been having a hard time tracking them down in MP3format. I tried Playlist.com but also had no luck there. I did find three good ones on youtube and posted them to my blog. You should check them out and see if you remember any of them. My blog is at www.purposequest.blogspot.com

Would you happen to know of a good legal source for the Uptown Girls' version of "I'm Losing You" in MP3 format? Do you remember that one?
